The Musings of Faith

OUR Reality

Paris, France

“You wanted to go to Nice and see the French Riviera but I call you from the car and inform you about last minute plan changes & we head to The City of Light to attend Christmas markets. We bought rare wines/cheeses and, of course, handcrafted Christmas gifts — beautiful embroidered shawls, napkins, antique frames, beaded bags, scarves. We stayed at the Bristol Hotel. We stopped by “vitrines de Noël” (holiday windows). This year, Chanel and Dior outfitted Printemps’ Russian-inspired windows while rabbits dollies & bears (oh my) cavort next door Galeries Lafayette in tableaux by designers Gaultier Kenzo & Marc Jacobs. We made time for cafes in Latin Quarter for some hot cocoa then we stood in line at Kaiser Bakery — you were mad at me first but I promised you fresh bread was totally worth it & after you agreed! We finished up our last minute shopping on Champs-Élysées, a few quick pics in front of the Eiffel Tower, and a trip down The Seine. We made it back to the hotel to wrap up gifts and get ready for Christmas at home!”
