About Me
Lydia Idem Finkley has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management and E-Commerce. Lydia has worked with, founded, and invested in several different startups in the new media industry for the past 11 years. In 2006, Lydia began teaching web design and computer programming at Berkeley City College and, most recently, The Art Institute of California - Hollywood where she taught and pioneered web design curriculum.
Lydia has been investing in equities for 16 years and trading currencies actively for 5 and a half years. Her trading style is simple and short term. With a special feel for sterling, Lydia trades almost exclusively the GBPUSD and EURGBP. Her approach to forex trading has amassed quite a following on Twitter and StockTwits. Her currency pair analysis and trade ideas can be found on popular forex websites such as StockTwits FX, ForexPros, and Benzinga to name a few. Lydia has also been a special guest on forex radio shows like Euodoo Radio.
I began blogging when a very dear friend urged me to co-author articles for her website. I wrote a few but it wasn’t until I joined Twitter in October 2008 when I realized that 1) sometimes I wanted to say more than 140 characters could allow; 2) I wanted to say something more visually than text could allow; and 3) I wanted a record of my journey, my life. My children and grand children and great grand children will all read this one day. I think they’ll enjoy me.
